SOMETHING FISHY'S GOING ON AROUND HERE

I can think of no greater way to spend the day than drowning a minnow up on Shasta Lake. Or maybe drifting a crawler through a creek in search of native brook trout. How about back-trolling Hot Shots in downtown Redding for rainbows up to 8lbs? I could go on and on, but the fishing opportunities in the northstate are what really keep going on and on. This is a year-round fishery, with one species filling in for the off-season of another. From private ponds to massive impoundments, tiny creeks to the Pacific Ocean (it's not that far of a drive), it's all within reach and ready for a quick cast. Locations abound, and there's a wealth of information on where to go, what to use, etc., so we'll mainly use this page to update current conditions and report our fish stories!
